LFEPA, the body that runs the London Fire Brigade, has chosen and implemented the Koha library management system. PTFS Europe has provided a full range of implementation services, including the successful migration from the legacy system, and will provide on-going hosting and support services.
The London Fire Brigade is England's busiest fire and rescue service, serving the capital's residents as well as those who work in and visit the city. Andrew Mobbs, from Business Intelligence at the London Fire Brigade said: "Koha offers us a cost-effective solution for our library which meets our business requirements. Koha's open source development gives us access to a large community of Library professionals at a fraction of the cost of bespoke systems. PTFS Europe have proven to be excellent partners who have supported us through the transition to the new system and provide us with excellent support."
